Customer Registration

Registration is required to buy, rent, and source.

Rentals

Rentals are subject to approval by the individual archive. Rental fees are 20% of an item’s full retail value. Availability, payment terms, and return conditions vary by archive.

Sourcing

Sourcing requests are free and non-binding. STORAGE will notify you via email if we locate the item within 90 days. Unfulfilled requests expire automatically after three months.

Binding Offers (Make an Offer)

Submitting an offer through the "Make an Offer" feature is a binding commitment to purchase. By submitting an offer you authorise STORAGE and the relevant store to charge your saved payment method automatically — without further confirmation — if a seller, or STORAGE acting on the seller's behalf, accepts your offer.

• Binding total includes shipping. The amount displayed at the consent step (your offer + shipping to your delivery country) is the exact amount your card will be charged if the offer is accepted. Shipping is calculated from the destination country at the time of submission and locked in for the life of the offer.
• Card capture at offer time. Your card is verified via Stripe when you submit. No funds are held until acceptance.
• 24-hour acceptance window. Sellers have 24 hours to accept, decline, or counter. Unanswered offers expire automatically and your card is not charged.
• Counter-offers. If a seller counters, you can accept, decline, or cancel. Accepting a counter-offer triggers an immediate charge against your saved card for the new total (counter amount + shipping).
• Cancellation. You may cancel any offer that is still PENDING. Once accepted by the seller, the offer is binding and can no longer be cancelled.
• Sold-out fallback. If the piece is sold via normal checkout while your offer is being processed, the charge is automatically refunded.
• Disputes. Disputing a binding-offer charge solely on the basis of "I changed my mind" will be defended using your tickbox consent, IP address, and the timestamped record of your offer.

All other terms in this agreement (Returns & Refunds, Archive Authenticity, Shipping) apply to offer-driven purchases exactly as they apply to standard checkout.

Archive Authenticity

Stores must verify the authenticity of each item. STORAGE vets stores through a strict application process but is not the direct seller. Disputes over authenticity or condition should be reported within 7 days of delivery.

Returns & Refunds

All sales are final. Returns or refunds are granted only for proven misrepresentation or inauthenticity, subject to STORAGE’s review. Report claims to storage@starflo.org within 7 days of receipt.

Shipping Terms

Stores handle shipping directly. Items must be dispatched within 5 working days of purchase. Standard shipping rates apply: £10 GBP UK & Europe, £45 GBP rest of world (free over £500 GBP per Store). All shipping rates are denominated in GBP and your card is charged in GBP at checkout. Tracking information will be emailed.

Customers are responsible for any customs duties or import fees. STORAGE is not liable for delays, loss, or damage in transit.

Limitation of Liability

STORAGE acts as a marketplace facilitator. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Stores are responsible for item quality, shipping, and customer service.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by English law. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
