Issey Miyake Men Spring/Summer 1998 3M “Light-Up” Jacket Designed by Naoki Takizawa This is an Iconic piece from SS98 Issey Miyake Men collection, seen on both the runway(Slide2) & in the Visual Booklet (slide4) “LIGHT, light... RIGHT?” (1997)) Photography by Naoki Ishizaka. Book design and graphic works by ORGANIX. The piece features a technical nylon shell with articulated mesh exposed panels outlined in a 3M reflective material, it has a retractable hood under 3M zipper inside the neck & a synch toggle system at the waist making the long trench for a more cropped causal look. The interior (slide5) With a mesh anatomy shell surrounding the jacket & two absolutely huge tubular pockets on each side. This jacket perfectly encapsulates the “LIGHT, light... RIGHT?” futuristic vibe especially with the 3M accents.
